The new TAG reader book for Ashlee

I have a child that LOVES learning, therefore when rewarding good behavior we have found that learning books and puzzles are what she longs for.  After watching countless Spogebob cartoons we picked up on the idea of a star board to award good behavior and not have to focus so much on the bad behavior.  Our latest issue with Ashlee was her not wanting to go to bed and staying in bed.

My husband came up with the star board and at first Ashlee earned stars for going to bed and not fight us, it worked!  I thought it might be a fluke, but night after night she would stay in bed after story time and go to sleep.  That was a novel idea... I cannot believe we did not think of that sooner. After a couple times of filling up the star board, we had to start adding little awards to be earned, such as a reading book, a trip to visit Gma's, a new craft.  We started categorizing the stars too, bedtime stars, for sleeping and going to bed well.  Daytime stars, to help out with daily chores, eating breakfast and lunch well, cleaning up the toys after play.  It works great! and it is even exciting to make a new board with new awards to be earned every couple months!
This month's reward was a new learning book for her TAG reader pen.  We found one that has a whole bunch of characters from the Disney movies that does different kinds of learning activities, word search, number search etc.

Ashlee has already told me that she wants to work up to earn a trip to the Children's Museum.  It is so much fun to learn!
