Homemade garden recipe

Nothing taste better than homemade !!!

I found a recipe on Pinterest for crockpot marinara!! So easy and so fun!!

Then I added some of my own items, all things from my garden , basil, chives, onion, tomatoes, garlic and lots of oregano and seasonings.  

Put everyone thing in skins and all and let cook on high for 6-8 hours stirring every hour or so... Then once all cooked down you can run through the food processor.

Yum! happy creating!!

This week I am really trying to research more about urban farming and what I can grow for my family in my backyard!  there are So many options and great ideas... here are a few of my pins....

Do you garden? what do you like to plant in your garden? 
I love to do lots of veggies... like green beans, zucchini  summer crocked neck squash, tomatoes, radishes, lettuce,peppers, jalapeno peppers oh and I do have some strawberry and raspberry plants!
Love the berries..... I want to try to do more ... like egg plant, artichokes, and of course I would love to get my own chicken coop with a few chickens for fresh eggs and also the added things like fertilizer and composting my table scraps and eating bugs throughout my yard!  Lots of things to think about!  Tell me what you have in your yard!!!

Summer evening in the Garden

The colors and scents in the garden were so beautiful this evening I felt I HAD to get out my camera and catch a few things..........

 All of these shots are from my garden and backyard...... absolutely wonderful!

            The Lillie's are amazing this year... and wow the scent.... so so SWEET!

                      The Sunflower in the garden has really started to get some great colors!
