The aRt of KniTting

Knitting.....

Is there an easy way to learn this?  My first official Mom group outing was to a great lady's house named Carol.  She is a knitter, and she likes to help others learn how to do it too. 
I did not bring the essentials for class that day....... so instead I sat around and watched others learn how to knit and the most important thing I did was interacted with other ADULTS.  That was NICE!
Wow I think this could be the start of something good. both my kids were so tired they could do nothing but mind all afternoon :).
