Our first days in Scotland

For our 10 year Anniversary we went on a 10 day trip to Scotland and Ireland...Wow what a LONG flight from PNW, we lost a whole DAY!
This is some of the photos of our first days in Scotland.!! Our first stop was a night in Glasgow Scotland these are some shots of the buildings around town. It is one of the largest cities in Scotland.

 Everything is built out of sandstone....everything....
we visited the Kelvingrove Museum

 Now we get to head out of town to the HIGHLANDS.... first photo stop.. Loch Lomond!
                                Loch is Scottish for Lake... oh and I have to say the weather was GREAT!
  This is  the deep Valley of Glen Coe..notorious for the Campbell massacre of the Clan Macdonald in 1692.

 In Fort Augustus we went on a cruise of Loch Ness and searched for Nessie.... unbelievable how black the water is from run off and peat in the soil.


 um.... can you see something out there?  Is that Nessie?!!!

 the signs in Scotland Crack me up... Ederly People? HAHA!!

                                             We found the beach (Atlantic Ocean) in Nairn.
 This was our hotel... Castle?  I think?!!!
 Say "hi" to the Highland Cows out front... Haggis, Patty, and scones! LOL
Next up the Battlefield of Culloden, were Bonnie Prince Charles was defeated by British Army in 1746

now off to our next stop.... Blair Athol Distillery




 even after this tour and taste, I am still NOT a whiskey fan :o(
