Lavender Festival

I absolutely LOVE lavender... so when I saw that there was a LOCAL lavender farm having a festival... I had to check it out!

                                   Today they are going to distill a new batch of Lavender Oil !

 Here is the distillers getting set up to steam.....

 Love these red flowers!!

 Just look at the acres of lavender... just imagine the smell... yes I love it!

 Sawyer Loved all the bugs and bees on the flowers.. LOL

There were also some booths with local Artists and vendors in the area.... loved these paintings....

 We had to U-pick our own lavender bunch....

 Oh and proof that I was here too.... LOL

I just realized that I have DONE a lot of knitting and not posted all of my finished items... so HERE they are!

 I have also been working on some really cute animals: Cats, Bears and a bunny... 

This little guy is Sawyer's favorite... and he reminds me of Chicken Little...

I also did an Owl...

I am on a knitted dish cloth kick too... any kind of pattern I find I have to try out! (ok I crocheted a couple too)

last but not least I found some CUTE chicken patterns... Cluck Cluck!

new Modge Podge project

So I have these violin templates... and I was trying to make them a little more interesting so that they could be used as art pieces... this is what I have so far...

I am going to antique these a little more ... maybe paint some colored notes on them and shellac them...
