Our first days in Scotland

For our 10 year Anniversary we went on a 10 day trip to Scotland and Ireland...Wow what a LONG flight from PNW, we lost a whole DAY!
This is some of the photos of our first days in Scotland.!! Our first stop was a night in Glasgow Scotland these are some shots of the buildings around town. It is one of the largest cities in Scotland.

 Everything is built out of sandstone....everything....

we visited the Kelvingrove Museum

 Now we get to head out of town to the HIGHLANDS.... first photo stop.. Loch Lomond!

                                Loch is Scottish for Lake... oh and I have to say the weather was GREAT!

  This is  the deep Valley of Glen Coe..notorious for the Campbell massacre of the Clan Macdonald in 1692.

 In Fort Augustus we went on a cruise of Loch Ness and searched for Nessie.... unbelievable how black the water is from run off and peat in the soil.

 um.... can you see something out there?  Is that Nessie?!!!

 the signs in Scotland Crack me up... Ederly People? HAHA!!

                                             We found the beach (Atlantic Ocean) in Nairn.

 This was our hotel... Castle?  I think?!!!

 Say "hi" to the Highland Cows out front... Haggis, Patty, and scones! LOL

Next up the Battlefield of Culloden, were Bonnie Prince Charles was defeated by British Army in 1746

 the Cairn of remembrance...

now off to our next stop.... Blair Athol Distillery

 even after this tour and taste, I am still NOT a whiskey fan :o(

A day of Amusement!

Thanks to Eric's work we were able to spend a fun HOT day at Oak' Park and ride all the rides and enjoy some great family time....

this was one ride that I could NOT do... too much Spinning around for me!

 We do love the Ferris Wheel... although I am not fond of heights and I HATE it when you always have to stop on the top.... DO NOT ROCK the seat!!!!

 I am not so sure that Eric liked it too well either... LOL.... Sawyer kept saying " I'm not liking this" but he still had a smile on his face....

 The Carrousel is always a hit.... wow I'm telling you it was HOT... check out the kids' cheeks!

  The one thing that Sawyer wanted to do all day was ride the TRAIN... so here it is!

 I even went on this roller coaster!! OH yeah I am in that car UPSIDE down!! EEEeeek!

Summer evening in the Garden

The colors and scents in the garden were so beautiful this evening I felt I HAD to get out my camera and catch a few things..........

 All of these shots are from my garden and backyard...... absolutely wonderful!

            The Lillie's are amazing this year... and wow the scent.... so so SWEET!

                      The Sunflower in the garden has really started to get some great colors!
