UpDATE

So ............ I know you are dying to know how Sawyer is doing..............

I think we finally figured out what the NO nap deal was.............

.....................along with his cold he had a little ear infection and the fluid in his ear made him NOT want to laydown......... he is back to sleeping his 2-3 hour naps and than all night.

Shamrock RUN

I did it! I am signed up to run the 8k Shamrock Race, Portland OR in March this year!!!

I ran it last year and I am hoping to meet or beat my last year's time.  I believe that was 53 mintues..........



That means I have to start conditioning for it! Hope the sun decides to come out soon, I am tired of running the rain and cold!!

Anyone can run this race..... sign up for it! It is lots of fun, you get a t-shirt, clam chowder and beer after the race too!  Who is in?

Help! I need Help!

Calling all Moms! I need your help! Give me some ideas!

my son is almost 20 months old and for the LAST week will NOT nap.  I have tried everything, cry himself to sleep....no he will not! I have tried lay with him .... maybe 20 minutes..........

Is he really outgrowing his nap? Can that be true?  He will fall asleep in the car but I cannot go driving everyday!! (although I have for the last three or four!)

What to do! Any ideas ...........................

For the last week or so Sawyer has decided that naps are not his thing........... He is only 19 months and still needs a nap.  Mom needs them too, just for my sanity..........

So today when once again he did not want to nap, my last straw was to drive around a little and let him fall asleep in the car..... these are some of the pretty things we spotted along the way........

knitting lessons

For the past month I have been trying to learn how to knitt... so far it is ok.  I have made a few dish rags or "doll blankets" as Ashlee says.  I like it.  But I have found that I can get a little sloppy......
here are the first pieces that I did............

ok this one is just the regular knit stitch... ummm and a hole or two! :)

This was my first attempt at a basketweave stitch... little jacked!

 This was last weeks creation off of the back label of the yarn... not bad... a band of something different but pretty good...

 my second attempt at basketweave... much better...

currently working on this one again........... I know....it is a work in progress!

wii bowling

Do you know how entertaining it is to see little ones play wii bowling? .....V..E...R..Y!!

They may not get a large score but wow they sure get a lot of entertainment out of it!

something new

so this is the something new that my boy learned today.... to unzip his PJs and run around in just a diaper....oh dear!
