It's a Zoo Today!

Today was a great day for the Portland Zoo!! The weather was great and we got to see LOTS of animals...

 Ashlee finally got herself a Fact Key today so... she was the expert on the exhibit knowledge :)

 Entering Cascade Canyon... the NW animal natives....

 Oh yeah and we could NOT leave out the FARM... and tractor!!

 I think she may be ready to RIDE ?!!

 Saw the Elephants... onto Africa...

 The newest animal to the Zoo....Flamingo.......landed March 23rd.. :)

 I think they still like each other a little.....

 who cannot like those cute Lorakeets?!!

 Insects.............Not me!!

Last stop of the Day was Stellar Cove... such sweet Sea Otters....

Tulips?!!! OH my!! and traditions new and old....

Wooden Shoe Tulip Fields...

for the past 5 years I have visited the tulip fields.. I look forward to this trip each spring.  I know when the tulips are ready, it is finally SPRING!

I remember coming here just my sister and I before we had kids, now look they are 7,5,and 3... and I really enjoy bringing my kids to see the colors and to play on the rides and cow train!

Yachats OR! Have you been?

This last weekend we were so lucky to be able to go and stay in Yachats OR with my Aunt and cousins.  We got a beach house right on the beach in Yachats... wow such fun! it was windy and wet (normal Oregon Coast weather) but luckily we got allot done in between the showers... here are a few shots from the weekend!
