After the installers from Just Energy Texas came by this morning to switch our electricity, I got started on my big project for the weekend. I was determined to make my beagle the best dog costume for Halloween. It too me a long time to decide what costume that I was going to make him. I searched the internet googling “dog costumes” and looked all over Pintrest.com. I finally decided what costume that I was going to make him, but knew that it was going to take some work. I decided that my beagle, Henry, was going to be a Chia Pet. I saw the costume on Pintrest and it was adorable. I got the fake grass that goes into aquariums and decorated a brown dog vest with the grass. I got my sewing machine out and made Henry brown footless socks that made it look like his legs were the pot. I was so proud when I finished the costume. I know that he is going to be the cutest dog for Halloween and certainly win the best dog costume award!

New Recipe..Sweet Potato scones!!!

Ok I do not know what got into me but I tried a NEW recipe !!! Sweet Potato and Rosemary Scones!!

I do NOT normally cook anything... so this was a jump for me... but they were SOOO good!

Ingredients

1 1/2 c Bisquick
1/2 c unsweetened canned sweet potato shopping list
6 Tbl fat free milk
1 1/2 Tbl finely chopped rosemary, divided
1 tsp kosher salt, divided
cooking spray
2 tsp fat-free milk

How to make it

450 oven Baking sheet coated with cooking spray
Combine Bisquick, sweet potato, 6 Tbl milk, 1 Tbl rosemary and 1/2 Tsp salt in a bowl; stir until just moist (dough will be very soft)
Turn dough out onto bakind sheet coated with cooking spray
with floured hands, shape into a 7 inch circle
cut dough into 8 wedges. cutting to, but not through, bottom of dough
Brush top with 2 tsp of milk and sprinkle with remaining rosemary and salt
Bake at 450 for 10 minutes or until scones are lightly browned
