Getting our paint on!

This last Thursday I was able to join in on some fun down at this art studio in Sellwood.  The Loaded Brush!
The theme for the night was Monet's Water Lillies. Yes, we got to paint them!

 The first step was to cover the whole canvas with white blues and purple... this will be the water....

 then you add in the lilly pads.... mine kind of started out looking like eyes...

but after some highlights and shading it started to take shape....

 And here we are sharing our masterpieces!!!

Today Sawyer and his class took a field trip to Spicer Brothers..

Love the colorful pumpkins!!

Over 14 types if fresh apples in hand!! All from OR and WA!!

The kids leaned about fruits(local and shipped in) and about vegetables and where most come their inventory comes from. 

Thanks to our tour guide, the kids learned tons!!;)

My favorite.. Winter squash....mmmm

Look at the size if those cabbage heads?!! Oh my!!

Guess what that is cut open!???? Yes... Pomegranate !!!

Kids even got to check out the cooler!! Brr!

Halloween and Trick Or Treat FUN!

This year... we went as a PIRATE and A SCIENTIST!

 We got to meet up with some friends and  TRICK or TREAT in their neighborhood!  The weather was great! Not wet and not too cold....

THe best part is always checking the LOOT to see what you got!!! LOL... Happy Halloween!!
